Kazakhstan is the main land gateway between China and Central Asia — and usually the fastest and cheapest leg of the three main lanes, because the rail border crossings (Dostyk, paired with Alashankou on the Chinese side, and Altynkol, paired with Khorgos) are built for volume.

Kazakhstan is in the EAEU — what that changes for you

Kazakhstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union together with Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus and Armenia. Three practical consequences:

One common customs tariff. Import duty rates follow the EAEU Common Customs Tariff, so your broker classifies goods by HS code against a single published tariff rather than a national one.
EAC certification. Many consumer goods require an EAC certificate or declaration of conformity before they can be sold. This is arranged on the Kazakh side — we make sure the product documentation and test-relevant specifications you receive from factories are complete enough for your certification body.
VAT 12% on imported goods, paid locally at clearance, plus the duty per the common tariff.

Duty rates vary widely by HS code and we do not quote them — ask your customs broker for the exact rate, and we will supply the invoice, packing list and product descriptions the classification is based on.

Who does what at customs

We are not the importer of record. The declaration, duty and VAT liabilities sit with you or your Kazakh broker. We control the export side: an invoice and packing list that match the real cargo piece by piece, shipping marks aligned with the paperwork, the transport document issued to your broker's requirements, and a documentation pack that files directly. How long does shipping from China to Kazakhstan take?

Rail containers take 7–12 days terminal to terminal — the fastest land transit in the region thanks to the Dostyk and Altynkol crossings. Road trucks reach Almaty in 5–10 days door to door. Our LCL consolidation service runs 3–5 weeks door to door; the exact schedule is confirmed at booking.

What documents does my Kazakh broker need from you?

The export pack: commercial invoice, packing list, transport document (rail bill or CMR) and product descriptions detailed enough for HS classification. If your broker needs anything else — certificates of origin, spec sheets — we collect it from the factories.

Does my product need EAC certification?

Most consumer goods sold in Kazakhstan do require an EAC certificate or declaration of conformity, arranged on the Kazakh side of the border. We supply the factory documentation your certification body needs, but the certificate itself must be issued by a Kazakh accredited body.

Can I combine several suppliers in one shipment?

Yes: goods from several factories arrive at our warehouse, are inspected, labelled and loaded into one consolidated shipment — USD 12 per CBM, minimum USD 30. This is the standard way our Kazakh buyers order.

What is the minimum order?

100 pieces per SKU, unlimited SKUs mixed in one shipment. Test orders and assortment-building orders are exactly what this pricing exists for.

Do you deliver outside Almaty?

Yes — Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda and other cities, door to door. Transit to cities beyond Almaty adds a few days; the schedule is confirmed at booking.

Do you work in Russian?

Yes. Enquiries, quotations, order updates and inspection reports are handled in English, Russian and Chinese.

How do I pay?

30% deposit and 70% before shipment, in USD, CNY or RUB. You can pay the factory through us or directly, and we will advise which is safer for your order.
