Shipping From China to Tashkent: Rates and Transit Times

Shipping From China to Tashkent: Rates and Transit Times (Yiwu, Ningbo, Guangzhou)

Short answer: SilkRoadSource charges a sourcing commission of 6% up to 5,000 USD (minimum 60 USD), 4% from 5,000 to 20,000 USD, 3% from 20,000 to 50,000 USD and 2.5% above 50,000 USD. Consolidation at our warehouse is 12 USD per CBM (minimum 30 USD) and does not include freight. We book freight at carrier cost with no markup: the market benchmark for LCL from Yiwu or Ningbo to Tashkent is 130–160 USD per CBM with 18–22 days by rail. Door-to-door delivery including sourcing and consolidation takes 20–40 days. Pre-shipment inspection is 150 USD per person-day.

For context, sourcing agents on the market charge 3–10%, and on small or first orders 8–10%. A "free agent" usually means 15–30% is built into the product price or the freight. We work the other way round: the commission is published, and freight is passed through at cost.

Routes and transit times: Yiwu, Ningbo, Guangzhou to Tashkent

Origin Mode Transit time Market rate benchmark
Yiwu / Ningbo LCL, rail 18–22 days 130–160 USD per CBM
Yiwu / Ningbo LCL, road 13–15 days Above rail rate, quoted by load
Guangzhou LCL, rail or road 20–28 days 130–170 USD per CBM
Any port 20'/40' container (FCL) 18–30 days On request: depends on season, port and container type
Any airport Air 5–10 days By weight and volume, for urgent top-ups

The times above are transit only. Add 5–15 days for sourcing, inspection and consolidation at the warehouse — which is why we quote 20–40 days door to door rather than 18 days. If a forwarder promises "18 days to Tashkent" without mentioning production and consolidation, they are counting only the last leg.

Worked example: a 6,400 USD kitchenware order

Take a typical order: 2,000 pieces of kitchenware from three factories in Yiwu, 8 CBM total, goods value 6,400 USD.

Line Calculation Amount
Goods value — 6,400 USD
Our commission 4% of 6,400 USD 256 USD
Consolidation 8 CBM × 12 USD 96 USD
Inspection 1 person-day 150 USD
Freight Yiwu → Tashkent 8 CBM × 145 USD (benchmark, at carrier invoice) 1,160 USD
Total — 8,062 USD

Our services in this order come to 502 USD, or 7.8% of goods value — and 150 USD of that is avoidable if you already work with verified factories. The 1,160 USD of freight is the carrier's money, not ours: you would get the same figure going to them directly.

What door-to-door includes

Documents your customs broker will ask for

  • Commercial invoice broken down by line item, with HS codes.
  • Packing list with weight, volume and carton count per factory.
  • Transport documents: CMR or rail waybill depending on the mode.
  • Certificate of origin if you need preferential treatment.
  • Inspection photo report and, on request, the factory audit report.

We declare customs value as it is, per the factory invoice. If someone offers to "lower the invoice to pay less duty", the risk lands on your company, not theirs — the discrepancy surfaces at the first inspection.

Frequently asked questions

How long does shipping from China to Uzbekistan take?

LCL by rail from Yiwu or Ningbo is 18–22 days in transit. Including sourcing, inspection and consolidation, the realistic door-to-door time to Tashkent is 20–40 days. By road it is faster — 13–15 days in transit — but the rate is higher. An FCL container takes 18–30 days depending on port and season.

Why is freight "at cost" — where is the catch?

There is no catch, but there is a condition: we show you the carrier invoice. Many agents earn on the difference between the carrier's tariff and what they charge you, which is the "free agent" model with a 15–30% markup. Our margin is the commission on goods value alone, so we have no incentive to inflate freight.

Can I ship less than one CBM?

Yes. The minimum consolidation charge is 30 USD, which equals about 2.5 CBM at 12 USD per CBM. If your goods take up less space, you pay 30 USD rather than a smaller sum — that covers the space your cargo occupies and the separate handling it needs.

What does the 12 USD per CBM rate include?

Receiving goods from your suppliers, storage until the shipment is formed, palletising, labelling and a photo report. Freight is not included and is paid separately at the carrier's invoice. We keep those two lines apart on purpose so you can check each figure.

Do you work with Guangzhou and Ningbo if your warehouse is in Yiwu?

Yes. Our main warehouse and consolidation point is in Yiwu, but we collect from Ningbo, Guangzhou and other industrial clusters and combine them into one shipment. Guangzhou cargo takes 2–6 days longer than Yiwu. More detail in the Yiwu sourcing section.

Do you provide documents for duty calculation?

Yes: commercial invoice with HS codes, packing list and transport documents. The exact duty and excise rate is determined by your customs broker against your HS code — we will not guess it for them, because it depends on the product category and current rules.
